Supervised sample collection

Your sample is identified, checked and traced in person.

Collection becomes available after required consent and intake clearance. Every kit and handoff is tied to a recorded custody event.

01

Choose an approved collection site

Available appointments come from active sites with authorised collectors, service hours, capacity and accessibility information. The booking confirmation contains operational details only.

  • No genetic or health detail in reminders
  • Accessibility needs can be recorded
  • Reschedule and cancellation state remain visible
02

Prepare for the appointment

The portal shows the current preparation instructions for the configured sample type. Instructions are versioned so the collection record can show exactly what guidance applied.

  • Bring the approved identity evidence
  • Follow sample-specific food, drink or timing guidance
  • Report relevant changes before collection
03

Verify identity without retaining excess data

The collector compares the approved identity evidence with the booking and records only the permitted verification fields. An identity scan is not retained unless a separately approved policy allows it.

  • Booking and customer match
  • Collection verification state recorded
  • Exceptions routed rather than bypassed
04

Validate and activate the kit

The system checks collection site, product and assay compatibility, unused state, lot and expiry. Barcode activation uses two identifiers and refuses duplicate activation.

  • Customer witnesses the barcode match
  • Kit seal and expiry recorded
  • Non-sensitive collection receipt provided
05

Maintain chain of custody

Every custody event identifies the actor, role, site, barcode, time and seal status. Courier events are mapped into the same internal timeline so the customer and operations team see one coherent state.

  • Collected, dispatched, in transit and received states
  • Pseudonymous laboratory identifier
  • SLA and exception monitoring
06

Quarantine problems—never work around them

A broken seal, identity mismatch, expired kit, missing consent, inadequate sample or custody gap creates quarantine or recollection. It cannot be manually waved through to interpretation.

  • Reason and owner recorded
  • Customer receives a neutral next step
  • Affected assay and report workflows remain blocked

Ready when you are

Start with a short suitability check.

It takes a few minutes, does not require payment, and confirms whether the service scope and supervised collection model fit what you need.

Service information is versioned and distinguishes measured findings, supporting evidence, personal context, professional judgement and limitations.
